Moms have the darndest idea when teachers' lose their groove. And these pair of mums, just like me, simply loves to reuse boxes or cartons of any types. Yes, I like to keep all types, colours and sizes of boxes. And once in a while, when you have in your hand a gigantic box like these mums, you make a place for the children to enjoy and play and explore in it.

Card games and Board Games.

My favourite pastime has always been playing card games and boardgames. I can also turn into a fierce participant sometimes. Old Maid, Happy Family, Donkey, UNO, Cho dai di are all may favourite card games. I am also a great fan of Monopoly, snake and ladder, chess and that black and white checkers.

Book reviews are commonly seen in publications such as magazines, newspapers, journals and online sites. Many readers or book buyers consult book reviews before purchasing any types of publications. Well, I don't really consult book reviews as such although I still love reading comments or critics on any types of literature reviews. Seeing and feeling, sometimes smelling the pages of a book is still my top choice of selecting a book. 

Today, for the first time, I heard two book reviews by a bookseller from New Zealand. John McIntyre owns The Children's Bookshop in Wellington and is an active advocator of children literature himself, reviews children's books at a local radio station every two weeks. Apart from being entertained by the UK/Irish accent tinkling my eardrum, I enjoyed listening the synopsis of the books, able to imagine the pictures and the story lines in my head.

So, next time if you don't feel like flipping the papers or swiping your iPad, put on your earphone and listen to John's refreshing and tantalising words soothing your inquisitive mind.

MOMMY HUGS.

Just like the book's name, this book is all about counting different types of hugs between mummy and baby. Suitable for infant and very young children, this is a book full of lovely simple drawings, with patches of cloth here and there, and is sure difficult to put down even after saying good night to little baby.

GRANDMA CALLS ME BEAUTIFUL.
